Dewd, grow a pair and grab a wheel barrow if you're just moving material (I'll even lend you one if you need)...

I like the crushed concrete. It doesn't move, and you can compact it to pour concrete over the top, which you will eventualy.. :D

My sod is a month old, there is no way that I would even drive a loaded wheelbarrow on it.

My opinion is to wait till spring, then do it by hand. (unless you can do it first) That tractor will ruin your lawn.

Every home should come with a Kubota as standard equipment:D That bx24 is basically the same thing as my bx18 just more ponies.
I bought my crushed concrete at asphault products at about 1300 west and 8040 south.

Looks real good! You should look into steel edging if your not doing any curbing. It keeps a nice clean edge between you flower area and grass.

Thanks guys!

I've got plastic lawn edging 96% done in the backyard. My goal for the frontyard includes removing most if not all of the rocks that were intended for lawn edging (rocks are horrible for this), and replace with lawn edging... and reuse the rocks for the water feature in the backyard.

Saturday was a long day, 6:30am to 10:30pm. Stopped by Ileans to borrow wheel barrow, got all the sod laid in less than 2 hours, edged and trimmed sod, trimmed the bottom of the double gate, fixed/replaced a few sprinkler items, adjusted front/back sprinklers, cleared northeast corner for dog run, moved dog run, cleared/prepped 200sq ft of front yard for extra sod, laid extra sod. I bought seed to overseed the rest of the frontyard.. Might look funny for awhile, but it should look good by next spring.

It's wild to think what this yard was 2 months ago. My dog really really wants to go back there, but the lawn is soaking like Brett's sheets.

Speaking of soaking the lawn, right now I have the lawn scheduled to run for 25minutes on the 3 lawn stations starting at 2am every day this week. I also have it set for each station to run for 10-15minutes starting around 10am each day this week.. Is that good to keep the lawn soaked for the first week? Too much? Too little? Perfect? Thoughts....?

Damn! I'm tired just watching this thread!! lol

I'm not an expert, but I'd probably change the 2am to 6am and the 10am to 2pm. Roots don't like standing water. So the idea is get the water on so it can sink in before the sun comes up and evaporates it. Right now it's getting cool, so 2pm should be fine. It will also give the top water enough time to evaporate before it gets cold and possibly freezes. That's my thinking anyway ;)

This is our yard makeover:
I have been working on my yard for the past year, tearing out sod for the playhouse/sandbox, had some curbing installed, refinishing the fence, and planted a bunch of shrubs and trees:

What we started with:

We still have a ways to go, a tree company is coming out to grind some stumps down, and cut down an aspen that is on it's way out. The fence needs another coat of linseed oil, but it is getting there...and- Hilary has started her perennial garden, so life is good at the Moody pad.

Nice Rog! That looks like a nice haven for the kiddies.

Brett, thank you.. Despite your poor attitude towards assisting with my sod.. asshole :cody:

Kurt, I'll help you when you decide to do it.. regular rates apply. :) If you do sod you oughta order it from the company that I did. Despite the hickup on placing the order, the sod was the cheapest around and its awesome quality.

Tacoma, yep.. It's wild to look at what we started with and compare it to it's current state.

Makes you feel manly when you pull of big yard projects, doesn't it?

I'll bet you a box of 12 glazed doughnuts your neighbors start doing their yards in the next year...keeping up with Beardy will become the new hotness.
