What timer do you have? I'm willing to bet that you have several programs installed in it, and they are all watering. You need to zero out all the programs except "A". Alot of people mistakenly program them like this.
I turned my sprinklers on last week, and I'm still running into issues with the programmer. I have four stations:
Station 1 East Lawn
Station 2 Front Lawn
Station 3 Garden Drip
Station 4 West Lawn
Last week I set them to go off in this sequence: S2 for 12min @ 9am, S4 for 12min @ 9:15am, and S1 for 12min @ 9:30am. Instead the sequence started on S1 for the tight amount of time, then S2 for the right amount of time, then S4 for the right amount of time. But, the second S4 got done S1 picked back up.
I set them to go off this morning in the same sequence they were set for last Saturday. Same exact results; S1 even popped on after S4 when all lawn stations should've been all done. WTF? So I hit the little 'Reset' button and programmed them to go off @ 10am in a sequence of S2, S4, S1... 10am rolls around and S1 pops on.
I have never programmed Program B, or C, and both have no information set on them. All this is happening on Program A.
