While this is a great show of force, remember that when it comes to officially solicited comments, the BLM considers 1,000 signitures no different than 1 on a mass petition. Doesn't mean it won't help influence on some level or at least let the Millers know there is great public interest. On the same hand local landowners like the Millers and BFE are going to be vocal about what happens in their 'neighborhood', love it or hate it.
Fwiw, let's not forgot how we got to this situation... The state refused to assert any row's when that property was sold. A circumstance we will need to closely guard not only on future SITLA land deals bit on a exponentially larger scale if/when the state took control of federal lands. They have not been shy to say they will 'dispose' of public land for the betterment of the economy (which I will agree it does) but it can, will and does lead to loss of land access for the motorized community. Will we gain in some areas and lose in others? Assumable but with no intel we can only plan for more Lower Helldorado, Strike Ravine, Proving Ground, Lions Back type situations... In which the state has clearly stated that motorized use detracts from the real estate value of the land
Kurt, we need you back at U4. It is concise information like this that will keep roads open only if we can reach a greater number of users to let them know what is happening. Thanks also to RME for making this forum available.
Any more it is anything to get other people doing something, designing pins etc., as I am slowing down and it is hard, almost impossible, to replace people like Kurt, Steve, etc. By the way, how was your Alaska stint?
