Hal Larson's tumbleweed in the late 70's? early 80's at Dixie Raceway. Thinking about Hal right now cause I would like to finish my project and get it to Hal because he is a pinstriper and not getting any younger, he did my dads 40 Ford in the late 70's, again 16? years ago as well as my cousins 40 Ford in 2016, It only seems fitting I have him pinstripe my 40.

Here is a 1982 article about "Tumbleweed" also includes some stuff about my Uncle Pat Price.

Hal's Pinstriping in Cedar City? If so, I got to know him a little bit when I was going to school at SUU. I would always stop by when he had a cool car sitting out front of the shop.

You may be correct still, but I think you are thinking of this tree instead. The two trees are[were] not in the same Fork of Lake C. ;

2004 HITR

In the 2010 shot we (Rob = xjcrazed) were exploring up the East Fork upstream of the wash crossing and the Ruin, the afternoon before running HITR. We had to remove a saddle from one of those bikes to get under that cottonwood iirc. We ran in to Dave @DAA who had the same idea, and a short while later Randy(Intrepidxj), and camped together down there in the main fork above the washout. Randy still had the stock air in his JKs tires, we were joking with him again about that just the other day down in the Maze.

Oh man what was the year?? So long ago it seems. Before the Rot Box there was a Samurai. First trip to Moab changed my life forever. Tow rig was my brothers 86? Dually. Around 80k original miles passed everything but a gas station. Anemic compared to the modern diesels but back in the day it was hot stuff….
