Ranger shot in Moab

Has it been snowing there? I'm wondering if he'll be found dead from his injuries, under a rock somewhere. Very sad indeed that this low life can affect another human being that way.

No snow, but it did rain last night and was quite a bit cooler this morning when we left to come home.

Maybe he threw himself in the river and is half way to Lake Powell by nowl.

They just released the guys name.

MOAB, UTAH — A search resumes this morning in rugged red rock terrain near Moab for a man sought in the shooting of a Utah park ranger.

Authorities say they're looking for 40-year-old Lance Leeroy Arellano (air-ee-AH'-no) in the late Friday wounding of the 34-year-old ranger, Brody Young.

why cant they find his worthless A$$ ?, are they just letting him bleed out ?

Have you ever been in that country? Lots of places to hide, lots of terrain to cover. My bet is that they will never find him because he decided to crawl into some hole and ended up dying in there.
Twenty years form now someone will stumble across the bones and his/her bionic eye implants will instantly upload the DNA sequence to the Cortex and the mystery will be solved. That is of course if anyone is allowed out in that area in 20 years.

The pictures of the douche are quite different....

Nerd alert... Nerd alert... :eek2:

nah just just find him tie his arms to a nice big rock or tree (whatever is handy at the time) then tie his feet to your rig and just pull him in half. problem solved

Personally, I think he's already dead. You leave a weapon, backpack, and a shirt behind you're probably in some stage of delirium. Like someone said already, he probably crawled off somewhere into a hole and has already died from his wounds. If he's not found soon, he'll be found come next spring/summer when he starts stinking real bad.

Looking for the easy way out Beardy?

Depends on how far I'd have to hike to find him.. I'm not feeling up for a hike.. But in the cross hairs cutting that hiking distance down.. Ya, sounds easy enough to me.. Let the ravens and hawks pick over his body...

You attempt murder of a cop, you should be dealt a swift death blow with no warning.

i hope they get it worked out soon because

a) the dirtbag needs to be dealt with
b) i'm going to moab this weekend and would like to run psm :ugh:

anyone know exactly what trails are blocked off? paging all locals

One of my good customers is down that road (279) and mentioned that when he went into work yesterday he was escorted by SWAT, and wasn't allowed in until they had fully swept the buildings.

that sucks, i wonder if GBR and GS are still open and stuff...

and does a situation like this mean i should not take my .40 with me? i can see it both ways

Why would a situation like this cause you to not want carry for personal protection? :-\ Are you going to carry a cop on your back to protect you?

i thought about it right after i posted lol i worry about "getting in trouble" for things but it's my right after all.

with it getting to like ten degress last night or whatever and no food/water i bet the guy is done for. it's too bad the ranger and has family won't be able to put this behind them until the body is found
