I'll vouch that it happened, but since my 4 wheel wasn't working, I only went up to WW.

I forgot my camera, so I'm trying to get the pics from my dad.

thanks again to everyone that came out with us, we had a great time.

Sorry for leaving you broke down Meat.

And yet... I find myself strangely unsurprised by this comment...

;)

I actually went on a few options that turned out really well for me, but no one got any good photos it seems. On person took some shots of me, but she is so far removed from the forum I doubt I will ever see them...

The optional left turn once you are on Con for real... It is a fairly steep slant to the passenger side... I did that one, did a really well on it, and ended up with the driver's front in the air about two feet off the ground. Wish someone had been there to take that photo, at least it looked really nice from my seat.

Meat, what do you need to do to finish off your tj?

I had a great time. The Cruiser did very well as was what I was expecting. There was quite a few people on the trails and I would question why some of them went on the con. I really wanted to top the nest and I gave it my all until the power steering box locked up. Drove it all the way off the con using the winch rope to pull it one side to the other. Took some time to figure that one out.

That was my fist attempt at rebuilding a steering box and I guess,,,, I failed.

Meat took some videos that I will try and load after I get home from work.

Rich, glad we could wheel again together, it's it a long time!

Your steering box just wouldn't move? You have hydraulic assist, right? For future reference, you could have driven with just the assist cylinder for steering, easier than winch-steering. Just disconnect your drag link and use the spool valve for steering. If the box was locked, that'd actually be easier than if it wasn't--because your steering wheel would only turn a tiny bit each way, it'd be kinda like steering with a joystick. :) Otherwise you need to turn the wheel until the box reaches full lock, then the ram would engage.

He doesn't have assist. The box locked hard enough that after a few times of straightening the steering using the winch around the tire to the rim it got to where his winch couldn't over power the box. :ugh:
