I'm going with melon as well.

A) Looks like a freakin melon to me. But like mini melons, not like the huge watermelons I'm use to seeing in groceries around here.
B) Why would they switch it for a waterballoon? -- cause they somehow rigged the launcher to throw it back in this chicks face?--for a promotion? Maybe. But I'm still not buying it.
C) The court-jester guy is rad.
D) She's not hot. I could maybe believe a waterballon swap conspiracy theory if it was for a hot chick, but otherwise, why bother?

Melon.

And funny as hell.

Absolutely a melon. If you watch the initial impact to her face about 10 times in rapid succession, you will see the entire melon in motion. Also, note that when the camera cuts to the view from behind the armored knight guy, you can see melon chunks flying from the chicks head. That was a melon on melon collision.

I think it's a melon too. My wife thinks it's fake because the girl hair is dry and no sign of melon anywhere on her. Just think about taking a melon at warp speed makes me cringe. Imagine getting melon blasted up your nose and in your eyes ouch.

Im going for FAKE, how do you take a watermelon to the face at that speed and not get a bloody nose or mouth or just plain ol' knocked out? And most of all how are you not covered in watermelon?

The lack of injuries gets me pretty suspicious too. That would at least make her cry. "I can't feel my face" isn't what I would be saying.

I'd imagine that they gave her a few minutes to regain her composure.
...and clean her up so they can check it out to make sure nothing is seriously hurt/broken. Like Sami said a couple posts up, watch the video when they first switch to the view in front of the catapult. You can clearly see the melon smash and chunks of watermelon go flying around her head.
