I've lost ~20 pounds in the past month. About 15 of that in three days. Secret to losing weight fast? Have your wife tell you that she's leaving you. But hey, I'd been trying to get back below 200 for awhile!

Shit bro, very sorry to hear that.

Bringing this back from the dead.. I thought about this as I was complaining that my pants keep falling down... In February I decided to do a Triathlon in September. Since then I have been training at least 5 days a week. There have been times where I didn't loose weight as fast as I wanted as I would bulk up with muscle mass but as of now I am down 30 lbs and will probably be under 200 before September 15th if things keep going the way they have been. I also did the Kick the Mt Dew thing, down to Coke Zero and from Coke Zero down to Mio energy.

I'm in.

I weigh 173 and I'd love to lose 10 lbs. I'm going to start riding my MTB more. Weight isn't as important to me as overall health. If I only loose 2 lbs, but I'm healthier, that's good enough for me.

I've been watching what I eat, and walking/jogging whenever time allows, My start weight was 342. I have lost 20 pounds in the last 2 months. My goal is to get down to the 250 range by next memorial day.

april 24th I was 262lbs. lost ten lbs up till july 3rd. Changed my whole way of eating and started Crossfit 3-5 times a week. I lost another 30 lbs in 5 weeks, for a total of 40lbs. Sitting @ 222lbs. I am now starting to gain a few pounds back, in the form of muscle..

Very cool all!
I have picked up running myself, I manage 3.2 miles every other day, I don't think I have lost anything, I have been hovering around 160lbs for the last few month, But my endurance and speed have certainly increased, I have issues about joining a gym, So I don't see that in my future.
I don't know what I am going to do once it starts snowing around here?!?
Best of luck everyone.

Congrats on the progress. What are your gym joining issues?

I think my ideal weight is 175. I work construction and every year for the past 7 years I have put on 10 pounds every winter. Then when spring rolls around I lose it in about a month. This last year I put on 15 pounds. Spring came but the weight did not leave. Then the baby came and he added another 9 pounds on me. I was fed up with it. I am off soda for the most part, not eating late at night and running 4-12 miles a day. My wife and I used to do 75-100 mile weeks. Since my birthday, a month ago today, I have lost 13 pounds. 10 more and I'll be happy. Then I'll start working on muscle for the first time since my senior year, 11 years ago.

Congrats to everyone. I ended up loosing a total of 50 pounds and have kept it off for the last year and a half. I ran two half marathons last year with plans to run a full this year. Injuries put an end to that but I am still running in the Air Force half marathon Sept 15th. I even managed to make a team so my trip is being paid for.:) I just completed my final PT test yesturday and ended my career with a 100% on it. I ran faster then I ever thought I could and was actually a full minute faster then what I expected.

Keep challenging yourself and you will be rewarded.
