I have noticed a new trend of using roll bending. Maybe its just be but I am not a fan. Every rig I have seen use it in the cage I haven't liked. Thoughts?

I am actually a big fan. I don't like the curvy buggy from extreme, but the BTF buggy Nicole drove 2 years ago at KOH had nice lines. I guess I like it when both bends and rolls are used.

I agree. Used in moderation in the right spots looks good. Everything rolled looks just weird.

edit: the Spidertrax Rock Bug is a good example of roll bending in done right.

Meh, reminds me too much of a volkswagen bug, which I have never been fond of.

That's why they call it the "Rock Bug". ;)

Wide Open Designs seems to have a pretty good handle on how to make roll bends look great:

so roll bending from what i understand is for longer sweeping bends is not? If so then yes i think it could be great if mixed with normal bending
