If you have not been on the Con lately, you will sh!t your pants at the new by pass. This spot crosses right through what use to be the original trail. The first filter is not even used anymore  With the weeds growing on it, it looks like Randy and I were the first ones to do the "Wolverine" (the obsticals name) in a long time. Quite dissapointing, remember the good old days when rocks just all of a sudden............rolled.... ;)

is it morally wrong for me to want to have a rock unstacking party at rs/con? i say we move all the rocks that were stacked to make stuff easy, and place them in front of that bypass? is that bad? i think everyone knows the trails have been sissified! if it isn't "wrong", who's in??
we could combine it with a cleanup.

That's pathetic... freakin' morons who have to bypass the trail just to say they have ran it.

The whole idea was to have 2 trails offering 2 diffrent levels of challenges... people who take THAT BYPASS are uneducated, pansy wheelers!!! :mad2:

well... if I was to say anything.... :ugh: I would say that the rocks would need to be larger than then ones that have been places to make things easy. Next time you are out there,,, look up... :guilty: wind and rain can cause things to fall........... ;)

I can see how it happened, that YJ is still spring under... :D Just playing. It does look like a person could get in trouble if they don't watch where they are going. I am really happy he and his family is ok.

That looks like a fun trail, I hope to do it soon.

Before there was the 40" , Mad Flex :D , trailer queens  , tricked out T-cases and selectable lockers, there was the rock stacker....

"Sometimes a rock is too large to drive over or at such a steep angle that the bumper hits the rock before the tire. Stack rocks on each side to form a ramp. Once over the obstacle, make sure you put the rocks back where you found them. The next driver to come along may prefer crossing the obstacle in its more difficult state" (Charles A. Wells)

IMO: It is our job to educate the new wheelers to the sport to put the rocks back when they are finished. EVERYBODY here was a newbie at one point when it comes to wheelin :D , I will gladly help put the trail back the way it was  . But I am NOT going to freak out on the guy who chooses to assist his rigs ability over the tuffer obstacles. I will however if he builds a FREEWAY around it :mad2: .

If you have a problem with the ROCK Stackers  , Then send a letter to all of the 4WD authors out there that write this stuff in there books.

It's not real bad, but it is a little bit...... But see that big rock the guy is standing on? When you are coming down the hill, if you aren't watching it, that big rock sticks out and next thing you know you are on your side. I didn't see it happen, but that is my theory of how it happened... I think Weelit saw the whole thing...

You hit it right on the nail. This was total DRIVER error! My error! My little guy was falling a-sleep in his car seat so I was kind of half turned around trying to shove a coat by his head so he would be a little more comfortable, I didnt even see that rock! and the next thing we were on our side. Nobody got hurt, just my PRIDE. The jeep actually came out of it pretty good. Ive got some fiberglass work to do on the hard top and a right front fender to replace but other than that she's cherry. Oh! and that annoying rattle that I had under the dash................its gone now!
Thanks for everyones help in getting me back up-right.

Cool attitude! Nothing wrong with taking care of the kids, but I've found it wise to actually stop my Jeep to do so :D. Glad nothing serious happened.

Blanket statement or you directing this at someone?

I am flaming him because I believe it is a STUPID ASS place to roll, especially if his whole family was in the jeep. I have flopped and rolled my junk several times. some places stupid some not.

The funny part is I NEVER rolled my junk when it was in the configuration it was in that is similar to the one that rolled. And definitely not with my family in it.

QUITE FRANKLY I, AM OF ALL THESE PEOPLE IN THERE "MODIFIED DAILY DRIVERS" OUT DOING TRAILS THAT ARE OVER THERE HEADS!

Its ok to not do all the hard trails. BUT IT PISSES ME OFF WHEN ALL THESE PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE RUN THE "TRAIL" JUST TO SAY THEY DID IT. WHEN IN FACT THEY EITHER BYPASSED OR STACKED SO MANY ROCKS THAT THEY CHANGE THE TRAILS DIFFICULTY TO THE POINT THAT ITS NOT THE SAME TRAIL!!!!!!!!!!

And no I am not an elitist I just think you should walk before you crawl.

read the signs before the trails, they clearly state the difficulty of the trail. and they don't say "feel free to stack all the freaking rocks you can find and fill in holes with dirt just because your rig is not worthy of running this trail!"

i totally respect beginner wheelers. i was one, and when you look at the big picture i still am one. but i built a rig so that i can take it crazy places. there is not much pride in "doing" a trail if you stack every rock possible and pull out the winch every time. oh yeah, people always put the rocks back, just like they always pack out there trash too.
