not true at all. When I used it, the only lossless format it would rip to is the apple only format. And you couldn't remove songs from your ipod. and you could only connect 5 ipods to a machine. No need to make it personal. You like apple. Great. I love apple's hardware and their way they think out of the box, but I hate everything else about them. I'm not going to insult you personally for liking them. I hate it, and I'm just saying the OP might want to look into alternatives before uploading all his software into one program with so many limitations.

Nope, different libraries. My home library is a couple TB in size, no way would I try and move it around. My work computer only has a few songs that I find while "working" :) I also use Senuti to pull songs off my phone once I sync them from my work computer and put them in to my home library.

It's still your library...

What's not true? You've always been able to import in wav, mp3, aiff, aac, m4a, and m4b up to 320kbs. The Apple format is also a lossless format.

Serious? Is that because it's on my computer? It's a different library (who owns it makes no difference), the iPhone can't magically detect I own it and allow me to transfer songs from it. I just tried to transfer music from my laptop (work machine) to my iPhone on the latest iTunes and it worked just fine.

Wow, the ignorance is strong in this thread. :)

Josh, you're too old.
You should just give it to me. ;)

I remember laughing at my parents, telling them if it was too loud, they were too old. Now I have people telling me I'm too old. Alright, come over and get it. I'm on my way to pick out a coffin. :D

I see I missed out on a lot of info here the past few days. Most of which was over my head. Right now between my wife and i we have like 600 songs on our computer. Most of which is her music and I don't want on my ipod, yet I don't want to go through the whole list and check off the ones I want. Is there an easier way? I can only imagine what it must be like for Caleb, with his TB's of music (which, by the way I may have to come over and "borrow" some of it :D )

So do I have to use a program to download my music to my ipod, or can I just take the music from my hard drive right to my ipod?

One other question: My itunes library is larger then my total storage on my ipod. Right now every song is "checked", so it will sync them all. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to "uncheck" all the songs at one time and then go back and check the songs I want to put on my ipod. Or do I just have to uncheck every song one by one?

I'm also still wondering if I can just upload my songs straight from the My Music file to my ipod.

Thanks.

Select all your songs, right-click and choose Uncheck Selection.

Yes, you have to use iTunes, or hack your ipod and use a third part app.

So I guess I just have to sit back and get comfortable as I uncheck a million songs, rather then just checking the few I want.
