Signage

Well... for some reason my looser neighbors think that parking in my driveway is ok...They also have a single size driveway that is only wide enough for one car. So... they like to cut over my property and exit my driveway instead of moving the car that is in front of them (they have several cars and stack them in). I have written one letter to them asking for this not to continue and I'm ready to write another. So, before I kick the sh!t out of someone, I would like to get some No Parking Signs and Private Drive/No Turn Arround Signs. Anyone know of a local company that will make custom street signs for a good price?

Thanks,

No, but I think some "construction debris" might help persuade them. Lots o nails in them thangs.

*thinking... thinking* Damn, I can't imagine how they'd do that without being superrude about it. I don't remember any adjoining pavement. Are they driving over lawn???????

DESTROY THEM!

I can't believe what assholes some people can be. I would post a "No Trespassing" sign, and the first time they crossed it, get the police involved.

I thought about pounding rebar in the ground with shapened tips pointing up. But, the main reason I want this stopped is because of my kids, they ride their bikes bike up and down our Large Driveway and rebar creates a hazard.

I would like a sign that says something like:

No Parking
Violators will be
Driven Over

Or

If you turnaround
In my driveway,
You May Be Shot

Build a fence/divider to be an "add on." Spend your money on something that can be pulled off as home improvement. If they dont care much about the kids' safety it's time to muscle them over on to thier side. Sorry, that's rough. Kids bikes have been known to scratch cars-if you know what I mean.

I think its all about a moat. A 4 foot ditch filled with water is a good deterent. Or a big hole in the yard covered with leaves, then when you wake up and have a car stuck 5 feet in your yard you will know:bryson:

a little tubing and some cable or chain to make a little fence would work.

Some people should just be shot, no questions there.... But this seems like the best solution. Safe for the kids and you can make something look pretty nice.

What about have the wife put up a flower bed on the property line?

Personally, I do not think the sign will do you one bit of good.
You have already sent them a letter telling them to knock it off. That apparently didn't work. I doubt they will suddenly follow a sign.

Personally, I would send them another letter, hand delivered.
Following the second letter, put up a cinderblock wall. Leave their side of the wall ugly and exposed, and cover your side of the wall with stucco or rock (if you cover it at all).

If you've got kids, and they won't listen to your polite letters, a wall of some sort is most likely your best "legal" option.

Tell them to park their junk on their driveway or your calling a towing truck. Find the closest towing company number by your phone. After you have given them a letter warning them and post a no parking, private property, violators will be towed sign up, GAME ON! Get the letter sent so it's required for a signature. Or just tell your kids to ride their bikes into the side of the car.
