Central Utah Skyline Drive (Fairview) Aug 15 to 16th

You should start a thread for next week too. I've been trying to camp with skylinerider for years, I'm worried that rescheduling would jinx it. :)

Curt, if you would rather go in 2 weeks we can do that too. I have a back-up backpacking trip in the Uintas this weekend, so if this one gets pushed back a week I'll be fine.

I'll be in my Tahoe for sure this time. The Santa Fe would probably provide a much nicer ride but with the lack of decent tires, actual 4wd and no recovery points at all it probably wouldn't be a good choice. It kinda sucks because the Hyundai gets so much better gas mileage.

Unfortunately I've got plans that weekend as well, I'll be up at Washington Lake with some family. Hopefully I'll be able to get out on a different trip soon.

With there being only two rifle hunts opening, one being Pronghorn limited entry and the other being Elk premium limited entry I don't think it's really going to be that big of a deal.

You guys have fun fighting the hunting crowds, there are 11 different tags that open that weekend and I wouldn't be caught anywhere near there with all of the idiots with guns running around, calender here http://wildlife.utah.gov/calendar.html I'll be on a guided fishing trip myself up to Flaming Gorge so wish me luck!

The only ones in that area are archery, not a problem. The hunts aren't really a problem for camping and fishing no matter what weapon though.

If you guys are swimming snows lake your hardcore! have fun up there I will be camping with my family this coming weekend if any of you are up there give me a shout.

I'm heading to the Rubicon trail that weekend. Y'all be careful with all those "idiots" with archery tackle "running around" up there though .
