I obviously haven't got enough of the snow. Probably still haven't [emoji1] .

Earlier Saturday morning , went over to I-lean's so he could help me install the Detroit True track in the Chrysler rear.

Then went home and loaded up gear.
By 2 pm DaveN and I were on the road. Decided to avoid the muddy route we went through Eureka around the backside. Very windy drive.
About 3:30 we hit the mouth of the canyon.
At first, not much snow.

Further up it got better and a few quick winch pulls helped Dave back out. Putting his new front locker to test.
With 2 lockers and more clearance than me, not to mention his bigger M/T's he led the way up the trail.

Snow bashing and backing up was the routine.

We got to a point where all other faded tire tracks had stopped.
We kept going.

More backing up and hitting it again.
It seemed there would be a snow drift, then thin snow, drift and so on.

By about 4:30 we were running out of daylight, getting windy er' and colder. I said let's try 10 minutes more. We pushed on.

About ready to call it a day. I thought I'd give my rig a try at snow bashing.
With my 31" A/T's I didn't expect much but as I went around Dave it dug down and just kept going.
Id hit a drift, stop back up and hold it around 2600 rpms. Surprisingly I was still moving.

Kept going into the deeper stuff until I finally came to a stop.
Gave it about 5 or 6 more tries but didn't get any further.

Super impressed with my rig though. Imagine if I chained up.

Turned around and found a spot to chill and eat.
Manifold cooking.

Once down the canyon I heard a clunking noise. Thinking a suspension part loosened up, we found the culprit.
Looks like I killed a tire.

Gave us another chance to test the matts.

First time I've actually used my hi-lift , had it for 10yrs.
Thanks to Dave for helping me out.

On the way out we looked at the railroad of mud and to our surprise it was dry.

All the video I did was on my phone so as soon as I edit it, it'll get posted.

Sidewall could say Goodyear or Goodrich, I wasn't sure.

Tapatalk sucks. Upload your vids to Photobucket or another hosting site and then link them over. I wanna see.

I think I went into a rut kinda hard and there was a sharp rock. No biggie, I have road hazzard warranty. Should have a new tire this week.

Took the tire in today. They said the bead had some crud in it and the valve stem was leaking but.....
No leaks from the sidewall and dismounted it to see inside. Looked good they said.
I was kinda disappointed they didn't road hazzard it. The manager says it's just a scratch.

Dang that seems weird. So did the bead let the air leak past the debris? I guess you will know if it really was a problem before long

Being a former tire buster, I thought they'd warranty it, but no leaking at the sidewall I guess they are trying to get away not roadhazzarding it.
We will see if it's gonna hold.
Now im on the other side of things I see why customers get pissed off.

Today me and the wife went back up to blackrock canyon.

Yes, again.
Pretty sure I've cured that snow bug.

Watching the Doppler it looked like it snowed the other day. So there was a glimmer of hope there would be snow up there.

At this point, not much snow.

Then got to the last uphill section before reaching the top, then found the snow.
I gave it a few shots and got stuck. Had to winch up to a spot I could turn around.
Broke a strap during the pull. [emoji50]
Good thing I put a weight bag up near the hook.
Another side pull worked to get us turned around. Wife was unhappy about this 30 min winch session.
Anyways, I got us out.
I'd have to say it's impassable for at least another month. About another 100 yards up was a bigger snow drift that nobody is getting through in this off camber uphill section.
