This was my 5th trip to Moab with the Jeep but had never ran Kane Creek prior. Friday I met up with Rondo and Chuck to run Hells Revenge and then I met up with some other friends to run up Poison Spider before dinner and then all of us ran Kane Creek Saturday. All I have to say is that Kane Creek is a fun trail with a lot of great spots to stop for lunch and if you have kids they can play in the creek. We started from the town end and came out down by the highway. And yet again my Jeep surprised the hell out of me and people kept asking if I was locked, I was the only one who was still running open diffs and the stock transfer case out of the six rigs in our group. The long wheelbase and 4.56's play a huge role in getting up stuff. The "waterfall" was easier than expected and I didn't take any bypasses except the first one where it drops off to the right, it was my wife's first trip down and she was nervous. I will post some pictures soon as I upload them, but the weather was perfect and my only carnage requires some spray paint. I'm glad we got to go down before it gets too hot, our next trip will likely be in October.
Rondo is a great spotter and knows his stuff!
