This makes me really sick. I dontate toys to the Midvale Crisis center. There are a few of these places that exist for the sole purpose of preventing child abuse. Basically, if you get freaked out, you drop your kid off for a couple of hours, and cool off.

Obviously a cool head is the best solution, but I think if more people knew about these places, there would be fewer of these stories.

I'll never forget the first few weeks with my first daughter.... The drive home from the hospital. I had never driven so carefully and slow. Then trying to dress her. I always thought I was going to rip off an arm or leg trying to get her into one of those small shirts or pants. The best memories are watching my wife care for her (and now both of my daughters).

How can people do this kind of stuff? I know all about the feelings of wanting a baby to stop crying, or coloring on the walls, or peeing pants or what ever, but what has to happen to make a person snap like this and hurt a baby?

I have 4 kids and cannot understand this even a little. I get totally filled with rage when I read this stuff. If you are a POS and want to hurt your kid, come drop it off with me and I will take it and then beat your ass before you do it to a kid. When the innocence of a child is threatened, all bets are off. I have to ignore these stories. I just wept and prayed when I heard about the guy in California. Thankfully he is dead. If not, it would have been worth the drive.

Why even bother adopting if you are not willing to accept the responsibility....
I feel bad for the 4 yo, Russia-abusive home-DCFS-Foster care....Very sad.
