Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

Got any fat buddies? Just go for a day of wheeling with 3 of your heaviest buds. Problem solved, thems coils'll settle up quick. ;)

Well after Ive read every page of this build for the past Hour and all I can say is wow! It looks great and can't wait to see it on the trail..... SOON! But I personally think an Exo would look killer on it!

There's no good option for the b-pillar on these. I haven't seen an exo that I like yet, and it's not going to be hardcore enough to need an exo (meaning I"ll be picking the easy lines).

front driveline angle hasn't been determined yet. I'd rather have a hi-pinion, but I'll be fine with what I've got. Once I add my undertaker the front ds angle will be better.

haha, no. This rig will not be going anywyere the blue yota went. I'm going to take it easy.

I shouldn't say the "easy" lines, but I'll be taking the lines where body damage/rollover is not a concern. If I wanted a super capable rig I would have build another yota, or bought my old blue one back.

Isnt body damage/rollover always a concern? On the highway to the trail? Slippery unexpected muddy section of off-camber trail?:greg:

Ok, I cancelled my order with 4wp. They were taking forever on shipping me my wheels, so now I'm back on the lookout. I think I'll go with some steel chevy rally wheels.

I didn't mean to stir anything up about the cage steve:( I flopped my XJ out at 5 mile this year and that is on my list for sure!

nah, you're fine. You didn't stir anything at all. If I could find a way to do a sleek exo, I'd do it. Thanks for the comments man, we're cool.

I found me some nice chevy rally wheels. Brandon will be cutting the centers out to fit over my toy hubs, then I'll probably get my tires mounted tomorrow.
