Diameter is easy, measure the inside and outside of your coil buckets.

Is that 14-16" a free length, or at ride height?

yeah, but thats their intended application.

Something to think about, my rear coils are from an aerostar, 12" at ride height, one end is 2 1/2 ID, outside is about 5" other end is 3 1/2" ID with the outside of 5".

They are a little soft for the runner without the hard top, and are progressive rate coils. You may be able to pick up a set for $20 or so with all the mounting hardware.

Measure yourself, my measurements were rough.

good to know. I think I'm just going to be patient and wait a few weeks for the right coils to ship. I've already paid for them anyway, so it doesn't make sense to buy coils for two weeks...

I have a friend who has 4 spares, but he wants $100 for all 4. I was hoping he would He won't rent 'em to me, or let me borrow them for a few weeks, but he won't. So I'll just sit tight.

with all that spare time, you might as well build an exo. Or better yet, I'll come drop off my 'runner with a list of to-do's and you can have something to get your hands dirty with! :)

riiiiight. Actually, goose bought my bender, so I don't have the ability to make an exo anymore.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'll be working on my thesis in that spare time.

I guess I could build my roof rack next week. Anyone have a 3/4" conduit bender they'd let me borrow for a week or two?

I'll be doing Hole in the Rock the week before EJS, so I'll miss zukfari this year. I love moab, but I don't love Moab when it's crowded. I don't think you'll ever see me in Moab for EJS weekend.

I know a lot of people love it, but it's not for me.

I like to camp down there, and it's next to impossible to find any open spots within an hour of downtown. If I had a big group of friends/family that went every year and staked out a campsite or hotel (like i'd have $ for that), then I'd be all over it. But when it's just me and my wife, it's a pain finding a spot. Not to mention restauraunts, gas stations, etc. I've never been for EJS, but it just doesn't seem like my thing. Even crawlfest was too busy for me last year, so EJS would be crazy.

I finally got the front axle put together tonight. That's a great feeling.

Tomorrow night will be the rear axle: shaving the drain plug, new outer seals, and getting the elocker retrofit done. I still need to grind the housing down and drill and tap, then I should be good. Then I'll clean my garage.

Then on Saturday I plan on taking apart the sidekick. Good times ahead. I'm so glad that front axle is finally back together.

cuz people are interested in seeing me throw tons of money at a rig that won't be very capable ;) I think it's cuz most people haven't seen this kit on a kick before, so they're curious.

Once you start getting more done on your rig, your thread will become lively again. Especially with your tube bed. I think you can do it yourself with that bender sitting there, and your dad's skill. You could knock most of it out in a weekend.
