stinger

I vote no too. Maybe some tube to protect a winch, but just something winch sized.

i agree i dont like the GIGANTIC stingers, but if you ae building a buggy, then the chances of you rolling are high, and a stinger will protecct the winch, your hood, and also you rolling again, it should hlep you from rolling the front over, that is the point of a stinger, not just looks, i would put one to just about the top of the hood line, and beef it up, and keep tucked, not big ad bulky, but make it useful

thats my two cents

All the protection stuff can be done without a stinger.

If carefully designed you can build a radiator hoop that closely follows the lines of the hood and grill, is low profile, and still protects your hood, grill, winch, radiator, engine, etc. What you want to do is sight from the front roof line (the tube that would for the top of the "windshield" down to the front of the hood. Build your radiator hoop to be slightly above the grill when you sight it like this. When you roll over you'll hit the roof, and the radiator hoop. Mine may look too low, but I built it this way, and have rolled many times without doing any serious damage to my hood. You don't need a stinger to keep you from rolling over frontward. If you are about to roll over frontward HIT THE GAS. You'll drive out of it every time. I've seen stingers many times get in the way. They hit walls that you're not even trying to drive up. I've never seen one save a roll, but I have seen them stop forward progress many times.

My two cents is make a nice looking hoop that follows the lines of your vehicle, don't make a big ridiculous stinger. JMHO

Thanks man. I love your buggy btw. I will not be adding a stinger. The radiator will be rear mounted and I will cover the front of the engine and hood area with some tube so the engine will be fine in a rollover.

Right, cuz the real plans are SO much more socially acceptable, and much less embarrassing. :D You might want to reconsider towing the Honda.

There are no ramps long enough to get the Honda on the trailer. I'd need ramps to get on the ramps.
