Street-legal buggys - It Passed!

So.......are we still waiting on the final approval? When can we actually drive our tube buggies in Moab to and from the trail head?

The governor needs to sign the bill, and the Utah Highway Patrol needs to modify the safety inspection manual. I expect everything will be ready to go sometime in the next few months. This bill will allow Utah residents to register full size rigs as street legal ATV's. I am not sure how it will effect out-of-state vehicles, but I will try and find out.

Thanks and good job everyone that has been working on this and contributing! It's one more win for us and our sport!

Probably @ work under a truck, Tapatalk 2

Earlier in the thread they said it will be okay as we follow the rules of speed limits, staying in the right lane, no driving at night etc that are included in the bill

You are right, must have skipped over that post, now it's more tempting to change up my blazer a little bit

^^this is the same thing people do with "vintage-vehicle" plates. that provision is likewise not intended to be used for a daily driver. But I work with a guy, that has a clapped-out, '60s falcon that he drives daily, it literally has rope, and tape holding on panels, but that "vintage" plate keeps it on the road, despite several huge safety violations.

Hey, it's not a daily driver if I only drive it 6 days a week. At least that's what I tell myself.:D
