Who does your taxes ?
I've had a few places screw up my taxes and ended up going to HR block, they did great but it seems it gets more expensive every year.
Looking into other alternatives.

But stuck more often.
I use turbo tax now. But only because my situation has been the exact same for the last few years. In this case it is very easy to use.

This time I will be amending my 2014 return as well as doing my 2016. So I will most likely go back to Redwood tax for all that. They have been very good to us.

I do my own. I use turbo tax. But next year I'll probably have someone else do it for me. It's becoming more convoluted as I get more business contracts. More of a pain in the butt.

Used an accountant for many years. This year decided to do my own as his fees were becoming ridiculous (and I'm in accounting, but not tax). Used turbo tax and was pretty impressed

Depends on the year but most of the time I use Turbo Tax. When we had a nanny (household employee) I had someone else do my taxes as Turbo Tax (or any other program) didn't seem to handle it very well.

I use taxslayer and have for about 8 years now. It works well. I'm not sure of your situation, but it can be a bit daunting entering all the information into any of the programs, but once it's in, if you keep using it year to year it's easy. I have a rental, and it has all my depreciation saved from previous years, etc...so even though it can be a complicated filing, it usually takes less then 30 minutes to do.

If you don't have rentals, extra income or any of that, most of the programs should do fine and wouldn't be too hard to use. My filing fee for state and federal for Taxslayer was $58. I get their premium package so I have audit help if I happen to need it.

I've always done it myself with the H&R Block software but thought about having them do it for me this year since I'm going to use a couple more deductions for my LLC. I called and they won't even guesstimate the cost of filing for me. That's dumb.
