What brand/model is that deck?
The truck is looking pretty schnazzy.

Amazon special lol its okay but wish it had better adjustments for sound etc.

Anywho little update.
It did pretty good towing down n back to sandhollow. Definitely needs the tuning played with, got about 9.5mpg there n back and power was slightly lacking in the low range.

Since then this is what its seen:
Replaced both upper balljoints
Painted the wheels and frame
Fixed the rear t case output seal
New ujoints in the rear d-line
Added a lock to the toolbox
Tow mirrors
Stocked the toolbox with essentials

And most importantly picked up a bed, tailgate, front fender, and taillight wiring harness!

received_2963620473871082.jpeg

Its gonna sit for a sec, need to bed liner the hell out of it to match and find some taillights that I like etc etc. Also picked up a set of brand new 35" Toyo open country mts on Ford rims for $5 and another set of level8 rims from a guy up north so I have both lug patterns available for the SAS.

On that note if anyone has a leaf spring style dana 50 or 60 I'm in the market. Either lug pattern works.

I have a Dana 50! It's under my Excursion though and needs to stay there until I have a Dana 60 and associated parts from a '06ish Superduty to replace it with. If you know of one I bet we could work something out.

So big update but lack of pictures due to they're too big and fine etc.

Anyways here's a list of the current status:

New front driveline made by Cory
New tierods
New tierod 7075 aluminum adjuster sleeves
All new shocks
Leveled it
Got it aligned
Redid the rca cables for the stereo system
Replaced dented front fender
Replaced ugly ass old grill
Replaced headlights with vision x housings and led h4 bulbs
Replaced turnsignal housings and led bulbs
Replaced leaking rear tcase seal again
Ordered New tires 285/75/16
Picked up 2002 16inch Durham aluminum wheels
Picked up black bumpers I'm gonna bedliner to match
Got a new tailgate for the bed swap going down hopefully next month

Front fender and grill swap were quite the pain. The replacement fender had a broken flare and a broken out upper bolt hole. Just cut the mounting point out of the old one and welded it back in, adjusted adjusted hood and wa-la. Grill was the biggest pain, it was kinda twisted from sitting in a box un supported for lord knows how long but with some love and heat it finally formed in 👌

Still playing with tuning etc. Seems to still feel kinda sluggish in the low end but we'll get it sorted soon enough. Also need to replace the leaking power steering hoses and engine oil cooler hoses too which I'll do when I swap in my new 3 core aluminum radiator here soon. Do my best to remember to dumb down my camera settings to get pics for it all next time lol

Another update! Not alot of pics but here's what she has so far from the front to the back:

*new front bumper
*new rigid lights
*new lower grill trim piece
*new lower front fender pieces behind bumper
*new horns
*6 panel light switch
*new boss audio deck
*new heater/ac control panel
*new blower motor resistor
*new Amp (old one burned out)
*new tires and rims
*all new rear brakes
*new park brake cables
*new rear wheel seals
*rear end oil changed out for Lucas

Here's the rear ends story, park brakes been giving me hell, finally started not letting go unless I cave man'ed it and beat the shit out of the drums with something sooo yeah, had some fun here. Had a bad wheel cylinder on the driver side, both cables sticking, passenger side had a leaking wheel seal, all pads were screwed, drivers side adjuster was seized, and the driver side brake line was even kinked! The list goes on, super shocked I could stop at all really.

Pic of how the cables were all the way sucked in on adjustment

Seized up end on the passenger side.

The shit pads, bad cylinder etc.

And the bastard side that caused all this.
received_291810688980526.jpeg

Drums were actually decent and reusable though!

All this has been fixed thankfully, works awesome now 👍

Well today definitely wasn't the funnest I've had. Started off with big ugly not wanting to stay running. Would try to idle then die. Turns out fuel pump was way low on psi. Of course first I checked stuff like the fuel injectors for leaks, the fuel pressure regulator and the lines. Oh by the way to do that stuff the top of the intake manifold has to come apart. So yeah after getting that all figured I dropped the tank, swapped the pump, got it all back in, did the fuel filter while I was at it, and tried to start it. Nothing. Just cranked and cranked, tons of fuel pressure now, but not sparky spark. Did some quick reading and diagnosing and determined it to be the signal wire for the ignition control module had gotten hurt during the intake removal and install. Patched that, still no start, grabbed a new module and bam, fired up but had a weird lope. Check all the plug wire, turns out I accidentally nicked a plug wire. So yeah.

New fuel pump
New fuel filter
New ignition control module
New spark plug wire set
Added a ground wire to go from the ignition module/coil mount to the battery ground
New bolts for the tank straps welded to pieces of scrap to keep them from spinning
Bunch of cleaning

Aaaannnndd she's alive again after 9.5hrs.

Yay.

I gotta admit though it is nice owning something I can go to any parts store for and there like 90% chance they have what I need on the shelf

Another super fun week in the bags. Seriously by the time I'm ready to sell this it's gonna be borderline new.

Things that got replaced this go around:

* clutch master and slave cylinders
* full HD clutch kit.
* redid the exhaust to a magnaflow 12599 and dual 3"
*finally did the driver side motor mount by dropping the front diff.
* cleaned a shit ton of old.dirt out of the frame rails.
* changed the motor and trans oils and greased it.
* replaced the tcase output seal again, had a small rip in the lip.
* replaced a leaking wheel seal and cleaned the brakes up good
* readjusted park brake so it super holds now
*rotated and checked tire pressure
* bunch of other small things like cleaning up wiring etc.

Anywho, clutch stuffs

Then the few pics I took.of the exhaust. I gotta say I'm really glad I went with this muffler, it's x piped internally, full fiber packed, 3 inch dual in and out, but most importantly really quiet but has a solid roar once you get on it but at freeway speeds, I can't even really hear it

received_225399682291128.jpeg

Next time I'm home it's getting the bed swap and some other goodies done finally too.

Well ol minty got some loves this week. Switched out the front bench for a pair of dodge bucket seats and center console!

Found the system in a truck at the junk yard, like the looks so I went with it. They were packed with dirt and God knows what. Thankfully my awesome lady cleaned the hell out of them!
received_1076846623084002.jpeg

Still for the life of me can't decide what they came out of, they were on the frame crooked and the sliders were broken from flexing so much I'd image. The poor ol frame

received_1221774731653193.jpeg

Pulled my seat and took the frame and built some cross members out of some C channel and got them drilled to make everything straight and closer together

received_708318463479910.jpeg

received_614498283242708.jpeg

Painted them all up and bolted it all back together

received_4708918555837203.jpeg

received_1102450133911957.jpeg

Aannnd finished product. The seats are thicker than the old bench, so tall torso people will hate it but guys like myself and my short gal love them. She also cleaned my carpet and helped me get the seat covers on

received_908249086466323.jpeg

Also while I had it apart I replaced the passenger side door panel, the pressure relief vents in the doors passenger side arm rest and the passenger side door latch system. She opens and closes awesome now!! So happy with the old girl now a days. She needs some attention in the fuel injection system, I think one of the injectors is sticking on the passenger bank but not 100% yet. Have to dig in to it soon but first the buggy build over in the main room
