Neil Peart is very good at what he does and is inarguably the best drummer for Rush, but certainly not the best drummer. After all, there's no best when it comes to art; it's subjective. There are jazz and funk drummers who can play circles around Neil. That's not a criticism, but just the reality of different genres and playing styles. Did you see him play at the Burning for Buddy (Rich) Tribute? A bit out of his element, though I've got to give him credit for doing it.

I should have said one of the best. I have seen quite a few deferent genres. I did not see that tribute. The Dead is't even brought up, I won't even go there. I am more into hard rock than jazz. Have you ever seen Yanni ??? Now there's some talent. There are so many great artists out there I hope I can see who I like when they come.
