Going to get re-tested tomorrow (have to pay since the 15 day grace period has expired :()...

Fixed the mirror, added the mudflaps (frickin OEM Dodge trucks have more tire showing ;)), not too worried about the W/S as I have now noticed a half dozen Cruiser that don't have the stamp.

Emissions, hope my carb tuning helped... :D

Who sells race fuel?

Just put one bottle of HEET in with a half a tank of high octane and you should pass with colors. My CJ always ran high on both CO2 readings and this year after doing this little trick, it passed almost as good as my 03 tahoe.

Does a visual emmisions test evan exist anymore? Lots of people have talked about motor swaps and emmisions control equipment... Since did the motor swap in my 78 400-350 which wouldn't be recognizable by most IM shops I also pulled all the IM controls although all it was was a charcoal canister and noone has ever said a word.

also all the guys talking about additive to gas to pass the co2 this will only work for EFI or for Carbs if its close if your carb has too big of jets and you are running to rich it will do little or nothing.

If we really wanted safer highways we would ban cell phone use.

I totally agree. I am getting tired of following knuckle heads (men & women) who seem to lose all sense of ablity to drive with a phone stuck to their ear.

Use the D@#n hands free headset that is what it is for.

Stop the stinking texting while flying down the road at 50 mph.

I will try and do some searching, but heard on the news not to long ago that one of the Uniersities perfomred a study and has now ranked cell phone usage while driving up their with drunk driving, I just can't remember if it was worse or the same as.

I acutally think that the people with the Handsfree Sets are just as bad. In fact if you read about it they will tell you that Handsfree head sets don't help they are just as many accidents from people with the Handsfree as there is without it.

Well that blows that then.

I drive a jeep with the top off as often as I can, it is usually to loud to talk on the phone, which I find to be peaceful for me and is about the only time I get a break from the phone unless the battery dies.

In the winter time when the hardtop is on I tried the old blue tooth hands free (never make calls only take them, does not require me to touch or look at the phone) and it still is to loud for the person to hear me that I am talking to, in short driving my jeep is my safe haven :)

I think you need to upgrade to a TJ. :greg: I drive my TJ all the time with my Bluetooth Handsfree headset and people can hear me just fine.

I think that it has more to deal with the fact that I bought the top used and I need to get all the windshield seals and secure the top to the windshield and it should *cross fingers* minimize the wind noise coming into the cabin space.

My favorite question from a customer was
cust: "Are you in a plane flying?",
Me: "How did you know?"
cust: "I can tell by the sound, where are you at now? I did not know you had a pilots license."
me: "I am flying down let's see umm bangerter and looks like about 110,000 south. I have had my pilots license since I was 16."
cust: "That's cool, what are you piloting?"
me: "My jeep wrangler at about 65 mph"
cust: *laughing* "You got me you son of a *****, call me later when you can."

I will not go into like above, lady customer thought that I was at the beach on the west coast so I corrected her and let her know that it was in FL (all the while I was on bangerter again).
