It seems like every post starts with me not having enough time to work on it and today was no different. My wife had to work for a few hours (unexpectedly) and that really killed the middle of my day. Itās cool though I got a fun part done- the middle of the back section. It seems like a lot of the buggies I like are equal (or near equal) in size when it comes to the middle and back sections so I went with that. Itās something I can easily change down the road if I want. The back tube isnāt final cut Iāll probably match the angle of the tubes going into it.
This ratchet strap is todayās MVP. I made a joke on social media about how itās my only friend. The truth hurts lol.
Oh and I also posted about my BendTech Poverty.

Looking great! Any progress is progress... at least that's what I tell myself while I'm building and have limited time days
Thanks! It turns out being a grownup and having 3 kids is time consuming. Iām glad to get anything done lol
Yesterday I ran to Midnight for some more DOM. Itās amazing how little traffic there was, especially during rush hour. Iāll miss that. It was the only progress I made yesterday.
I messed around with it a little tonight but mainly stared at it and then my neighbor came over and we stared at it together. Iām really at a point where I need to pull the trigger on an Atlas and Iām putting it off so I have to find other parts to work on. So I started on the top part of the back section. I think I have the one side about where I want it but Iāll probably mess around with it a little more and get the notch perfect before mirroring it for the other side.

Is it weird that I feel a strong desire to weld when I see chassis getting built. I just love welding new clean steel. š
You should always follow your instincts. Come on over and weld it
I hate welding tube. I can't seem to make it very far around the tube before having to stop and restart and I HATE that.

aint that the truth! its taken me a month to do maybe 8 hours worth of work on my build.
It gets worse as they get older and start sports and other extracurricular activities. My weeknights are usually packed right now but without any of those things happening (thanks, 'rona) I have lot more free time at night so I'm taking advantage of it where I can.
Yay it looks like a chassis now. I welded a couple inches on the middle and top tubes where they meet the middle section to make sure they stay put. Iām very pleased with the progress! I was going to finish cut the rear tube but my portaband blade was like yeah Iām not doing that and it was my last one.

I didnāt know what to do on it tonight but wanted some garage time for my mental health so I decided to actually work on a project Iāve been putting off. Itāll mainly be for mounting the notcher but also just for whatever I want. Iāve never had one before so Iām excited!
