Maybe it is “I just assume anyone that has portals is poor” because building axles with them makes one spend all the monies.
It depends what your other options are. Junkyard axles with welded diffs will obviously always be cheaper but if you’re building fabricated housings with Mega hi-9’s it’s going to be a lot closer in price. Also if you consider that running portals means you can run a D300 instead of an Atlas there’s obviously some savings there.Maybe it is “I just assume anyone that has portals is poor” because building axles with them makes one spend all the monies.
Does not compute 🎩D300 instead of an Atlas
You passed the not poor test 😘Does not compute 🎩
Right totally makes sense to buy a donor D300, take 2 parts out of it, throw the rest in the garbage, buy a midnight metalworks case for $1400, JB 4:1 for $750, 32 spline outputs for ~$725 and a rebuild kit for $200ish. Or just go buy an Atlas for about the same price. All I was implying is that building a portal rock crawler is expensive no matter which way you look at it. If the stock d300 case was good enough, midnight metalworks wouldn't be offering a case....Really any way you look at it, cars are expensive in any form of a hobby. But by george a hotwheels was the best most expensive $0.99 mistake I ever made as a kidIt depends what your other options are. I’m sure there are plenty of cars out there rocking D300’s with stock cases and upgraded outputs. Ryan just upgraded his to the Stak case cause it’s shiny.Right totally makes sense to buy a donor D300, take 2 parts out of it, throw the rest in the garbage, buy a midnight metalworks case for $1400, JB 4:1 for $750, 32 spline outputs for ~$725 and a rebuild kit for $200ish. I still have that one boxy-piece you're missing....View attachment 142021When Carlos handed me this box of tabs he said something along the lines of “good luck” and boy did I underestimate the seriousness of that statement lol
The tabs are a disaster since they’re all custom and weird. On top of that we designed them months ago so I have no idea what I had planned at the time. Yay for me!
And the plot thickens 🤣I still have that one boxy-piece you're missing....
The file is "Buggy Control Arm Brackets". So...yes?And the plot thickens 🤣
Do you have these saved with names like “frame-side lower” or anything neat or just “tab 01984625252”?
