update, got the doubler all completed! yroc hacked the 231 up and welded in the side plate, sucks though the last guy who owned the 300 put a clocking ring on it plus an extended input shaft, so i had to keep the extra like 5/8 thick clocking ring on, but even then the whole setup is only round 2" longer than my old 231 with a sye kit on it. so today we got it all mocked up, clock to how i want it, then i hacked the crud out of the floor! still need to cut more for the rear yoke but wont be much. anyways here pics:

then due the new 60, i had to widen out my front M.O.R.E. leaf hangers out 3/4", havent done the rear shackles yet, waiting on bushings to show. yroc did a slick job of smoothing out the plating.

then this weekend we got the t-cases all painted up, and installed, had to hack the floor though. least we got it back up to the stock location close to how the 231 was so i can still use parts of the skid plate to help protect the cases and other stuff.

right now, just waiting on sleeve and bushing kits from MORE, tabs from ballistic, dana 60 high angle yoke, and my rear dana300 CV yoke.

YJ,
nice rig; it's gonna be bada$$. I'm using the rocknroll off road drive flanges mainly because compared to everyone i've found they are a good deal and way way way x3 cheaper than d60 warn hubs

the only thing is, is that my axle already has flanges from factory, came from a 77 dodge 1ton, pretty odd, need to find an extra though, one has a little play on the splines that i'm not to comfortable with!

He already sold the sye kit. and his frame is 26". when ive rode with him the only thing that feels tippy is backwards. future plans is to stretch the rear more. his wheelbase is 103 with 39.5's.

it was bad ass lol i think we would have made it personally, the rear tires were starting to climb the wall lol we plan to drop the front end of it by like an inch or so, front sits higher then the rear plus my front shackles are at a bad angle and tend to flip forward. should help with my driveline angle too, yroc is working now on my twinsticks on the case which should be buttoned up this week, if not weekend then get the t-case's mounted up and maybe even rear antiwrap!

bump. Got a little bit done on big ugly this week

We got all the twin stick linkage brackets and shift levers made, duals installed, all the fluids topped off and the tranny mount done. We should finish up the transfer case mount and skid tomorrow.

P.S. Ive done some handrail in my days if you were wondering about the twisted solid key stock.

got alot of work done this weekend! me n yroc got the transmission mounted and secured! also got the rear member mounted and tied into the front one and supported the t-case using the front output bolts. has 4 for now but plan to use more to help keep the drivetrain from twisting, YROC plans to add more this week to help protect the bottom of the tranny and what not. heres some pics, materials included: Mountain offroad sleeve and bushing kits using 9/16" bolts, ballistic fab tabs, 1 3/4"X.120 tubing with pieces of 1.5"x.120 tubing.

Recap. this is about his fourth axle swap, gear change, and probably fifteenth tire set since he has owned it. It was a stock jeep that his parents gave him when he was sixteen and like most of us was never satisfied with each mod. I remember when he said thirty 2s would be awesome. Now he has 39.5s and wants bigger. He did the basic jeep BS, first Cromolys for the pussy stockers, then swaping in a better rear (in his case a ford 8.5), then 44s front and rear with all the goodies which lasted for about five months, found some cheap 3/4tons they lasted about 8 months with little wheeling and now hes finally wised up to 60s (i tried to get him to through a 14bolt in the rear i had laying around but he didn't like the boat anchor idea).

we still need to plate the skid plate. build track bar, front gears, front drive shaft/carrier bearing, and build roll cage.
