"seasoned" is more like it

I have no clue how old Kurt is. I imagine he'd fit in the right age bracket to be a millenial, but he is far from your normal millenial. i guess most of us are quite different from our "typical" age bracket. We get out, we meet people face to face... that kind of thing.

anyone have any good resources for using a snatch strap/tow strap? I've always just used the standard yellow tow straps, I've never learned how to use a snatch strap differently.

I'd love a video of someone "bumping" an obstacle vs crawling it. I think bumping is one of those things I always assume noobs know how to do but don't.

...Sounds like I need to take Kurt's class.

Absolutely. There is a big difference between a static tow strap and a dynamic/elastic snatch strap and using one in place of the other can be dangerous and ruin equipment. For example never use a winch in combination with an elastic snatch strap and never do slacked tugs with a static tow strap, tree strap or winch recovery strap. The first step to every recover is to reconnoiter the situation, determine the recovery method, loads, equipment to be used, rigging, etc. Part of that is verifying your using the right equipment with the proper ratings for the anticipated loads.
