Thanks Marcus. I just took some pics to put them up, saved me some time for uploading. I really do appreciate the delivery and all the work you put into this thing the past couple days. It looks good in the garage but I can't wait until I can't see it anymore.

It's got a BTF truss and it's been shaved. Alloy USA shafts and some spare shafts. Luckily I already wanted to four link this thing so the easy part is done for me.

I'd love to start tomorrow but I've got to start on my next project...a buddy and I are making pens out of 308 brass to sell. I'll throw a picture of one of them up in chit chat tomorrow to see what you guys think of them.

Well I now have that boat anchor of a D35 where it belongs.

Somehow in the past 7 months my 13mm combo wrench has dissapeared. A half inch wouldn't work for the e-brake cable and I almost gave up until tomorrow but I have some old wrenches laying around and opened up a half inch to make it work.

I tried to see if my stock trac bar would work with the BTF truss with no luck. I started looking around the garage and remembered I had an adjustable with no bar ends on it so I took a couple of ends from the upper control arms Marcus gave me with the axle and I should be able to make that one work.

Tomorrow I will hopefully get the new axle bolted in and as long as I don't get too distracted during the day it should be drivable tomorrow night.

Got the axle hanging this morning. I discovered I'm not going to be able to make that adjustable trac bar work until I get some more stuff so I put in a trac bar bracket to use the stock one for now.

Right now I'm all cleaned up to head out to work to take care of some stuff. So this afternoon I should be able to get this thing all buttoned up. I still need to go pick up some loctite and some brake fluid. Then I can get this thing back on the ground and take my proportioning valve apart to gut it for the nice new disc brakes.

I really need to get some new shocks they work and they were cheap but they ride terrible.

holy fast work batman

I really don't like the idea of not being able to drive this thing. My wife even encouraged me to get out here and get it over with last night. So far I think I've only got about 3.5 hours into the back end of this thing. It would have been even less if I'd had everything that's supposed to be in my garage. I think I spent 45 minutes trying to find a wrench for the e-brake cable last night.

I think I'm going to try and get out wheeling a little this weekend so long as everything is working like it should.

Well I just need to get the brakes bled and get it back on the ground to tighten up all my suspension and this thing will be done for now.

Well the brakes are bled and the parking brake is tightened up. I had everything snug enough to take it around the block to test the brakes and they work fantastic. The parking brake is amazing compared to the old one.

On tight left turns it really wants to almost lift the front left off the ground, I think if my sway bar was connected it might actually do it, but I don't think having the spool in the rear is going to be a problem for me at all.

I'm done for the night since we are going out to dinner and I need to get cleaned up so tomorrow I'll take off all the nuts on the suspension and put some loctite on and button it up. Hopefully my sliders show up earlier rather than later tomorrow.

I also think I must have had something loose in the rear end before because it used to make some noise when I got on the throttle and I never got around to figuring it out but it's gone now so that's some good news.

Anybody want to go wheeling this weekend?

The UPS guy brought me presents. I think he is tired of my heavy boxes.

You can kind of see that one of the sliders is slightly is bent on one side in the third picture. I'm just going to pound it out since it's not really that big of a deal and I don't want to deal with trying to get it replace.

I would have put them on tonight but I had an old friend show up out of the blue so that is a little more important right now.

yeah, it looks like the UPS guy doesn't like you :(

Maybe a crescent wrench, vise, or a pipe wrench will help you straighten those out.

Yep it's just the one side and it's right on the end where TG has their logo cut out so it's a little weaker there anyway. Shouldn't be a problem bending it back. The other corner on the same one has a little ding as well which i'll just touch with a grinder so it doesn't dig into the sheet metal.

Got my sliders on. It only took about an hour and a half. Once I figured out where all my body mounts were it was easy. You've got to cut 3/16th of an inch off the top of the two rear body mounts under the door. Very well designed and a nice fit.

Now it's time to loosen all my suspension back up and put loctite on all the bolts. And my check engine light came on last night for a bad TPS so I'll take care of that today as well.

I just took a drive out to Bountiful to make sure everything was good before I headed out to Little Moab on Saturday.

I need to add another hockey puck on both sides on the front, other than getting the tires into the front fenders a little on both sides everything worked great.

I also tried out my driver side slider on this rock I am parked on for my poser shot, not much to say other than they work like they are supposed to.

Sometimes I am still amazed at how well the stock suspension actually works. I need to get that adjustable trac bar put in since my rear axle is not centered very well.

I went up to Fat Bob's for the first time the other day and those guys were pretty awesome and they give a military discount so they will be seeing more business from me in the future.

I went up there to see what they had for trac bars but they didn't have anything for the rear and it was going to take too long for one to get here so I ordered one on ebay.

I did pick up some bump stop extensions for the front and my wife bought my my birthday/fathers day present. She got me a really nice roof rack and it's going to look good on top of the jeep. My mounting brackets should be here at the beginning of the week and my trac bar should be here in time to have it on for Moab.

Went to Checker or O'Riley or whatever it is these days and picked up some spot mirrors so I can have mirrors without doors for cheap. $32 bucks out the door and a little bit of a bend in the bar and I've got mirrors.

I put my coil spacers back in yesterday. I'm not happy about needing to make it taller but there was just no other way to keep the tires out of the fenders. I put another one inch bump stop extension in and that should do the trick. It actually rides better now that it's a little taller, I think right now I'm sitting on about 4.5 inches of lift.

After the extra two inches I could tell I was going to have driveline problems so I had to do a T-case drop, yet another thing that doesn't make me too happy. Eventually I'll do an SYE and have it done right.

I got my CB installed for Moab.

Tomorrow my roof rack brackets will be here and then on Thursday my trac bar will be here. Once that is all done this thing will be ready for this weekend.
