what is your end goal for the rear suspension?

Well I want double triangulated long arm four link for the rear. Easier said than done right now though, but with the truss on there the axle is half way there. Doing a quick short arm four link won't cost much since I pretty much have everything I need and it will probably suit my needs for quite a while.

I think I need to start collecting parts. If I can get all the parts I need together for what I really want to do it will be easier. Most of the things I want to do right now require me to do a few other things to make them work.

When I did my Lj suspension, I did triangulated uppers and the lowers were straight. I didn't need a trac bar anymore and it had tons of travel but also felt very stable. It only ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars. Same for the exhaust, when I rerouted it for my straight long arms I didn't have to change anything for the new triangulated uppers, everything still worked.

So I'm looking at un-"building" this thing and selling what I can. I can't afford two car payments anymore. I'm going to try and trade my Duramax and this thing in on a 4 door Rubicon. I really like the idea of the longer wheelbase and this will only happen if I can make a deal happen on a Rubicon.

Thanks Steve. I've got to get the rear axle swapped out first since it isn't worth anything more to a dealership with it in there and I can make my money back on it. Luckily I'll actually make money on this thing which would make up for what I will loose on the Dmax.

Well I did it. I got enough out of the TJ and the truck to just do it today. I am now the owner of a 2009 Rubicon. No lift but it does have tube fenders so 35's will clear. I'll get some pics of it tomorrow. Ill be doing the locker mod and the ESP mod shortly.
