Today I Want This....

I don't want it. I can't think of anybody who would. Certainly nobody around here anyway.
*cough* I'll take the bait.

I always thought these and the other Nissan "retro" kei cars of the late 80's and early 90's were interesting, but aside from the styling there's nothing super cool about them. They are fairly rare, though. If I recall less than 20,000 were made and only sold in Japan. So seeing one stateside is kinda neat.

I'd still rather have a Suzuki Cappuccino or its cousin, and Autozam AZ-1 if I was going to hunt down a kei car.

I remember when nobody wanted those 914’s and they were dirt cheap. Now they’re quite the opposite.
The Porsche that was to be marketed as a VW that ended up being a Porsche anyway. I've been keen on them for a long time, even looked at one before I bought my Samurai back in high school. My how my life would have been different had I chose a 914 instead of a Samurai...

At Werks Reunion there is a whole section dedicated to 914's, I was particularly fond of this orange one back in '22.

That MGB GT looks pretty clean too. I’ve always wanted to body swap one onto a Miata; the wheelbase is not even an inch off
Considering that the MGB was one of the inspirations for the Miata, its not surprising at all that the wheelbase is almost identical. But I have an easier solution for you than trying to graft an MGB GT body onto a Miata, just get a fiberglass fastback kit:
