Anyone get the new Tool CD yet. It absolutely kicks ass. Rivals Laterus.

It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm a bit disapointed. Same goes for the new Pear Jam and the new Peppers. The new Godsmack is about on par with Godsmack though.Herzog said:Keep listening. Pay more attention to it. You will see the light.

I've been a long time fan of Tool, since the Opiate days and I love the direction that they have gone with the past 2 albums. This new album seems to me like a "back to roots" kind of album, but includes their niche for technical song composition.
Just listen to how good their signature times flow. Most of the time you won't even mentally notice that they are in odd times. They've definately mastered that, it's nice to hear something like this come out of music these days, especially with the abundance of 4/4 "bump bump bump bump" music out there today. (I have no other way to explain it, other than "crap")

Nah, I have precognition.JeeperG said:Thief.
Badger said:wings for marie pt. 1 and viginti tres right after it. those 2 songs add up to 11:13 minutes. you then have to mesh 10000 days (wings pt.2 which is also 11:13 minutes) over top of the other two to make one track.
