I saw it Monday. Really enjoyed it.

I saw it Tuesday. Had to watch the original on Monday because it had been so long, and I really wasn't into it then. This one was pretty good. Main takeaway, not as sweaty as the first... What was the deal in the first one???

Watched on Friday, IMAX + rumble seats. Was worth the coin. But I'm biased because my ringtone has been "Danger Zone" for years.

This is exactly why (almost) everyone is so happy and relieved with the movie. Most producers would put a heavy spin on the story, like maverick needs to learn his vulnerabilities, or war with Russia isn’t settled with planes, or that he’s actually struggling with homoerotic feelings from the first film.

Nope. Tom Cruise has the balls to say he’s simply going to just replay Maverick, 36 years later, who is STILL the best, while representing the US military, which is also STILL the best, to the tune of being able to take down 5th gen fighter planes with a janky f14 and taking out the Death Star with middle fingers raised, all while blasting ’danger zone’.

Sometimes it’s awesome to just do awesome stuff in a movie.
