Is that seat from an excursion? I would guess that it wouldn't be hard to find seats.

Doesn't 250 deg water flash to steam when it hits the atmosphere?

The majority of the water does but because it is shot out through a jet it cools something like 20 deg every inch that the water travels.

The seats came out of a newer superduty.

The 4.88s help quite a bit and the 6spd is the only choice for a V10 pulling in the altitude. That flatbed kills mileage. I lost almost 2MPG on my old 7.3 when I added one.

The V10 is good engine for a towrig on the cheap. Everyone says to buy a diesel until you have to service/replace one. I had the option to buy a 01' 7.3 with 150k for $6k more than my 99' v10. The choice for me was pretty clear.

Old 12V cummins or IDI 7.3s aren't that bad, but beyond that, no warranty means no diesel for me.
