I did prichett(its kind of a wussie 4+) on more than one occasion wih my old 95 yj... 4cyl, 4"lift, 33" tires, Lock Right in rear, 4.10 gears......
With 33" tires and lockers you should be able to do anything rated to 4 without any problems.... Unless your blind, drunk, or a girl.... Im kidding dont start the flaming....
You can do 4+ but expect a little body dammage.
Dont attempt 5's without a winch and itleast 35's.....

just because a stock vehicle can doesn't mean it should.
Agreed!!! It is helpful and fun to help others get over obstacles, but when on a trail and having to get someone over EVERY SINGLE thing, that gets old QUICK!

you need to drive a stock zuk in moab....it is pure enjoyment when people question your intent and you rub it in their face....stock zuk on tip-over challenge was hilariously easy against a 40k$ TJ!!! those old farts were pissed!!

I agree on the driver thing. Experience is a major factor in this sport. It takes time to get to know your rig. You have to know how it acts in situation. If you know all this, then trails become easier. I can do 98% of the trails in Moab in my zuk. If I was to take my tow rig TJ then it might be a different story. I don't have the feel for it in the off road area, nor will I ever :p :D

I agree with the fact that driver makes all the diff (like everyone else said) but in moab most of the trail have a bypass for the hard obsticles like hells revenge being a 4+, well they figured in the hot tubs. Also things like on metal masher you can bypass the widow maker and rock chucker, So I think that the trail is as hard as you make it if you bypass everything you will do it easy but if you take all the hard lines and push yourself then it gets hard. For instance my buddy swears up and down that there is no way that I will be able to do Moab Rim without body damage but I want to this trail over EJS really bad so I dont know has any one got some bad damage off of it?

Agreed. tire size and lift dont mean much when you can legally register your rig as an ATV  I know plenty of people that can do every trail in moab with 31" tires and a small lift in a samurai. In a sami you just put it in 4low and ride over things like you are on a quad :D Looking at your cherokee I think you will be fine on moab rim. I walked it to decide whether or not to take my tracker up that trail and thought I could do it in my tracker. Since it was getting late and I didnt have another rig with me, I decided against it. GO FOR IT!

One of the things that I have noticed is that Moab gives for a false sense of confidence. Because of the high traction, many obstacles that look intimidating are not really that hard.

Lots of good advice... most of it is right on the mark. The thing to remember about Moab is, almost all of the hardest obstacles have easier bypasses, and the trail is rated for the hardest obstacle. Also, the trails are always changing. Pritchett gets harder every year, and some trails get easier. And for highly modified rigs, most all of the official EJS trails are pretty easy, except for a handful of obstacles (such as Rockpile or climbing White Knuckle).

Maybe the most important thing is to not try the hardest trails if you don't have much experience, unless you are going with someone who knows the trail and has a rig (and experience) who can help on the tough spots. With the right help, you can do most anything, but without it, you are asking for trouble. I took a buddy in a TJ over Pritchett last year. His rig was on 31's, open front and rear. But he was willing to listen to me, and take a strap a few times. I got him through without any damage, and we had a great time.

I almost rolled on Moab rim, and at least several of the people on this board have rolled on Moab rim. Don't ever underestimate a trail, and just cause someone made it through without body damage doesn't mean you will. Not trying to flame you, just making a comment.

I've gotten body damage on Moab Rim, multiple times.

When I went to moab for the first time, back in '94-'95, I was with my cousin in his bone stock samurai. We ran Kane creek, Moab Rim, then Golden spike the next day. Only place he had to get strapped was through Golden Crack. He did get it on one tire on Moab Rim in Devils Crack though. This past July I took my stock '98 Chev ext. cab on Poison Spider because I couldn't go down there without running at least one trail. :)

You took a stock samurai up moab rim??   yowzas! no lift, 205/70/r15 tires? You are really starting to tempt me! *lol* what kinda damage/scraping on moab rim did the sammy take? Arent sammi's amazing? I dotn knwo of many vehicles that could do moab rim with absoultly no lift and 205/70/r15 (equivilant to 26.2 inch)tires. Even a stock TJ has more clearances and bigger tires (when stock) than a sammi. Course your cousing must have been a dang good driver..stock or not, that trail beats the crap outa peoples modified rigs, and has more than its share of rollovers.
