On my way home today, I saw 7 trains between the UT/WY border and Echo. That's a lot of trains! All going the same direction. The coal train pleased me.
There is some major transportating going on the tracks!!!
Hmmmm
Not bad, I think. ?
Saw a sweet IH truck on the rails, pulling a train flatbed. looked very strange.
How many coal trains did you see? They probably run 10 per day thru the Glenwood Canyon. 10 trains per day x $100,000 x 7 days a week. Thats $700,000 of pure profit in a week, just imagine how many other coal trains are running elsewhere. I'd say that's not bad.
...My job was to protect the point on the reverse move... go to the end car, verify the track was clear and communicate that to the Brandt truck driver so he could back up safely. It was fun, wish I knew where those pics were.
You suck at math Greg
30 miles in reverse?
Hope they have a three speed reverse in that thing
Not a Brandt, but still kind of a cool old cross between 4-wheeling and trains

Nope I just came across that on another site and it reminded me of this thread.
