Since RME is full of adventurers, I thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to sharing travel deals. Hopefully this helps us all adventure more.

ONE RULE:
Don't commercialize anything here (such as promoting you, or your friends travel agency, etc).

Here's one to get things rolling.
- Flights from SLC to Dominican Republic in April - As low as $371 round trip

I use Google flights first, then kind of go from there. I'm cheap (poor) so I'll book single legs from one airline to get to a city with way cheaper round trip rates on a different airline, but that just takes some research time and the motivation to save beer money.

Woah, that is a sweet deal! Makes me nervous not knowing what hotel they put you in. Not all countries count "stars" the same ha ha.
Heck, even if you get there and hate the hotel and stay elsewhere it is a good deal. I think we paid closer to $1,500 last time we went to Korea.

Is there a place everyone goes for the flights they need to book to get the best deals? (Anchorage in June)
I have tried a number of different sites but end up back on Travelocity pretty much every trip. I have found we are usually on different airlines coming and going to get the best price and flight schedule.
Keep in mind that if you book legs separately, a delay in one will not get your next leg rebooked if you miss it so give an extra buffer. Sometimes the risk is worth it however (I saved over $1,000 each for my wife and I flying to Ushuaia, Argentina, later this month by booking SLC to Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires to Ushuaia separately but gave us an overnight in BA each way in case of delays.)
