Dude, Greg felt horrible about that. Thank you for taking it in stride and not letting it ruin your night.

I know he did, it sucks but what can ya do, its just a rear hatch it can be fixed no big deal, just glad no one was hurt

Ya that sucked when you got smacked.

On a happier note your grand cherokee is an awesome ride.

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate the compliment!

It was a great time last night! I think I was the last rig in line. I was running late. As I passed Eagle Mountain I could look south east and see a line of tail lights for what seemed miles. It took me forever to catch up and I was going the speed limit. When I finally reached the group I had to slam the brakes on to about 40 miles an hour. Must have been a Toyota leading with a 22r or something similar. Haha. Had an awesome time though and did Rattlesnake and Constrictor after the fire roads trip. I'd definitely do it again. Thanks Steve. I'll try and post a few pics later.

despite your experience, 22r's aren't typically slow. Just when they have 4.10s and 37s.

I was leading the pack, and I have a 1.6L suzuki engine with stock gears and 33's. Not quite as bad as angelo, but almost :D

I had a blast! Thanks for everyones help and teaching the rookie. I got left behind on the top of the tailings coming down and ended up on the wrong trail and had to go back up to find where I missed the turnoff. My pass. took some pictures but he hasn't emailed them to me yet. I will get them posted when I get them.

BTW I was the guy with the trailblazer.

oops, sorry we left you up there. We actually ended up coming down a different route than we went up. Glad you found your way out of there.

Why can't we get this many people for NPLD? lol

Don't worry Chandler, a lot of them got bit by the bug, and I'm sure we'll see at least a few of them at NLPD this year.

If only NLPD were at night when everyone's schedule was a bit more flexible :(

Cool. Maybe there should be 2 groups that day. Day and night. It would be cooler at night and easier to work. But there is the darkness, but thats fun by itself :D

I think I like AF Canyon better at night personally.

or maybe we could do snakes in the morning, then pony express to wendover to lucin for an overnighter. That would be a fun day/night. I can plan a noob run just fine, but Kurt is the master of overnighters via backroads. I'm sure he doesn't have anything better do to than plan yet another run :D

af canyon night runs are my favorite.

I love AF Canyon at night, I've only done it once and only Forest lake. I was also kind of in a hurry to get down the hill. I think I managed to get from the top to my house in clearfield in two hours with bad traffic and a tire change for someone that blew a bead at the begining of the rock garden which is pretty amazing time. It helps that I could probably do Forest Lake with a blindfold. I'll have to do it again and take my time.

I really can't wait to get out to five mile in a month or two, if the wife comes I won't be able to stay too late because of the kid but if I'm alone I'll probably just sleep out there.

It's awesome that everyone showed up there ready to respect the trails and not do anything stupid. That makes for a very good trip.

AF in the summer at night all the way. The cooler temps are just way nicer.

I need a long distance rig for exploring and such. Mine isn't really built for it.

We got lost and ended up coming out down by fairfield but before we came out of the trees we ran into 3 Eagle Mountain sheriff's waiting for us, they said they spotted the 40+ vehicles going down the highway and must have headed up the dirt roads from the east side looking , we were all street legal and just driving around on the roads, they gave us the usual what are you doing, were are you going routine and let us go.

Thanks Steve, it looked like a funeral procession going down the highway what a site to behold.

Thanks
