Trolling fishing tips???

Anybody have any tip's about trolling/fishing? What work's and what dont? Jet divers,dipsey divers compared a downrigger setup?

What you fishing for and where? At strawberry we use leaded line about 30 ft down and use triple teaser. Done real well with that catching cuts and rainbows. We also had some pop gear but still have yet to catch any kokanee there.

One advantage to down riggers is once the fish in on you get to fight them on much lighter tackle.

Also gives better depth control.

My goal is to fish the gorge and local lakes for rainbow,cutts,kokanee and macs....not really going to get too serious,just wanna get out on the lakes,have fun and catch a few while on the water.

Yep, I have, and it's really not moss, more like kelp.

I fish Strawberry every weekend in the summer. One thing I have learned (the hard way) is you need to set a depth alarm for about 10 feet deeper than you are down with your down rigger ball.
