I did a search but didnt see where you guys are purchasing your steel from. Mostly need 1.5" 120 wall HREW but will also need some plate, sheet metal and angle iron. I know about Metal Mart but wanted to see from your experiences what you think is better. I am mostly in the south valley from Sandy to Orem so I am kinda looking in those areas but will go farther for a good deal.

Triple s steel seems to be the cheapest. But I would say at least 60 percent of the time they mess up on my order and even if you call 3 days in advance they will not pull it so it takes for ever to load. They do have a new guy working the front counter from Texas that seems really have his stuff together. Since he has started he is the 1 I talk to and have not had any issues with my orders. But if you use them plan on at least an hour to get your steel loaded.

If it's something I have a few days notice on I will always order it froma pdm in Spanish Fork. Their prices are competitive and include delivery. In the 2 years I've been using them they have never made a mistake on a delivery or an order.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
I believe metal mart in Lehi will be your best bet. I have never purchased from them, but I'm pretty sure they have hrew and the other items you listed. There are not a lot of places to buy tube, but everyone sales plate and angle.

The tubing from metal Mart all seems to be a really high carbon content and poor quality. Earlier this year I watch somebody lose a fuel cell when tube from metal Mart just sheered and it wasn't even at a weld joint.

I have gotten some small stuff from Wasatch steel, but now I get everything from Triple S. If there is a guy new from texas and the Triple S, then he would definitely be the guy to talk to since he is probably from the main Triple S shops down in texas. I have only gotten smaller amounts from the remnants bay but I haven't had any problems with them at all and have been very helpful when calling or talking with them.

Nobody has mentioned EMJ yet. They had the best prices on DOM when I was buying.
