I can build you something like Lewis' bump-stop extensions..

I'll have to see exactly what I want and need after I get my add a leaf in there and possibly my 1inch block to match it with the front. Those are definitely sweet though.

I've had my rear leafs on for a week or more now. It was time to do the front but I couldn't find the time south the new little guy. I called up Chance (chocflip201) to see if he wanted to help me out. Of course he did! I dropped it off Saturday around noon. While he had it I figured it was time to get my rear bumper done.

I sent chance a picture of what I wanted plus a few changes. I picked my truck up earlier today and the bumper turned out awesome! Exactly what I wanted, not one thing I would change. It incorporated a hitch, 2 shackle mounts, and sliders for my bed. In guessing we cut the sides of the bed up about 5-6 inches so the sliders line up with the bumper. I have some pictures but my computer is acting up. I will get them posted tomorrow.

The front lift is also done. I bought some add a leafs for my rear ome springs from Kurt today and will get those and a 1 inch block installed sometime this week. I'm very happy with how this truck is turning out!

Chance did some great work for an amazing amazing price. Pm him for any work you might want done.

the bumper looks absolutely amazing. Hopefully I can talk Chance into building me an identical one.

Got any specs on your wheels? what width and backspacing are they?

Thanks Steve. You have my permission on wheels and bumper. Ha. I'll double check tomorrow but my wheels are 17x8 with -12 offset. My bumper shouldn't be too bad to duplicate. He can get all the exact measurements from my bumper instead of having to figure it all out again.

Thanks again for the compliments.

I'll have to get some pics in the daylight tomorrow. My flash wasn't working out the greatest. The mounting brackets look to be about 3/4" thick. I haven't measured yet though. The mounting brackets go through the bumper and out the back side and make the clevis mounts. So if I ever have to use them I will be pulling on the frame and not just the bumper.

I took some pics just before you picked it up, I got a little better lighting. Yep 3/4" frame-tie in plates ;1 piece from the front to the D-ring mount as stated. D-ring mount is provised for a 5/8" D-ring. I also drilled out the frame holes to incorporate larger bolts than factory and upgraded them to Grade-8 with Nylok nuts. (the only nuts I prefer)

looking good! how do you like your tires?

I've got the grabbers on my Tacoma in the 33" flavor. I have no complaints about them at all. Not loud, look awesome, clean out the mud well, and good in ice/snow. I haven't had thm on rocks yet because I need to finish my front coil overs first. But I should be able to report this next week after I get it all done.

Thanks Chance.
James, I love my tires. They are barely louder than a bfg all terrain. They only time I notice they're knobby is braking hard. They balanced just fine. I have had them on everything but rock due to the lack of lift with bigger tires. But I should be able to take it out soon. I imagine they'll do pretty good. I'll let you know.

I really like the Grabbers, they look right at home on your Tacoma. I worked the Grabber launch at Miller Motorsports park last year, we took nearly 100 people in built rigs all over the park and desert trails and they held up fantastically, despite the fact some were literally trying to destroy them. I ended up with a set for my Tacoma but they got a little hot in the shop inferno :D

I wonder if the bumper gets in the way of removing the spare at all. Let me know if you can still get your little hook in there to lower the spare. Beautiful work Chance.

Thanks for the kudos, and nope it doesn't affect getting to the factory spare at all, there is the same gap between the tail-gate as the factory bumper and there is still a clear-shot to the spare tire dropper.

Ha. Probably not long now. Bummer. I hadn't thought of that. I had them on but took then off because I was only 1 inch taller than half. Now only about 2 inches of my tire is covered.

I tried my hardest this tank of gas to not pull my trailer to see what my actual gas mileage is. With the heavier wheels, tires, lift, and shell I managed to get 14.55 mpg. I pulled my trailer to work and home 1 day. I didn't expect it to be that much with how low it is pulling a trailer. Looks like I need to find some more trailer security so I don't have to pull it so much.
