The last I heard they were going to run Amasa to include some more difficult sections. As for Cat, I am going to stick to the equipment restrictions as trail leader and club member.

Cat Canyon News Flash

Cat Canyon has washed out! One report from deer hunters suggests that Cat may be a bit more difficult due to a massive flash flood that went down the canyon recently. The reporter also recommended taking the alternate route out of the canyon instead of the traditional microwave route for the more adventuresome individuals.

Yep... gonna be fun. Talked with someone who ran Cat last week. So we are going to stick with the vehicle restrictions on this one and promise carnage.

I'll be there one way or the other. If Eric decides to come, I'll bring the TJ and the 4Runner out and we'll run either Cat Canyon or Chainsaw. If he doesn't come I'll bring the buggy out and hang out with Craig and company on Topaz.

The run with least amount of people will be the fastest. I can run any of these trails in about 1-2 hours with my vehicle only. When there are a lot of people, the time goes up.

Is there a place to camp at or near the fairground with my RV? It might be easier to head out Fri. night, than to hit the road a 6 Sat. morning.

I asked Daynene to put me down for Cat, but if it works out so there's time to get your opinion of my junk (fullsize) on Topaz I'd like to switch to that if possible.
