Is P1 as hard as P2.....?

If not I may have to change my request to Judgment Day.

Pinnacle is a long wash bottom trail with sevral good obsticals and line choices. The first sevral obsticals have bypasses, that now look like the main trail as they have been used so many times. The last half a dozen obsticals have no real bypasses just a choice of lines. Most all of the obsticals are large lose rocks that have fallen onto the trail in even bigger piles. When we run it with U4 I will show and give everyone the option to hit every obstical. We will however be using the 3 trys rule as this is a long hard trail with many obsticals and I would like to have some time at the Challenge Park this year .
Pinnacle II is again a wash bottom trail cositing of some lose rock piles and some fun water falls. None of the above are supper hard (about a 4). Then there is the second to the last obstical called the Trash Compactor, and the name fits. This is a long deep nasty wedge(rated a 5)that will do its best compact your sheet metal. Buggies don't seem to mind as there is less to compact. The final obsticals is a lose dirt hill climb that can be a good challenge.
I find Pinnacle to be harder then Pinnacle II except for the Trash Compactor.

Well, after the damage last weekend I decided to tone down the wheeling a bit and registered for Steel Bender. Even though I've been through Judgement Day I'm tired of breaking and scratching my junk.

Steel Horse is a great trial choice if you have run Judgment Day, Its fairly straight forward 4 through out, but If you want to tackle the optional Water Fall at the end its a full out 5 so you should have a good time.

Thanks Scott...:-\ Ok, well I will know more tomorrow after club meeting if we are in need of some specific help I will let ya know Jinx, thanks for the offer.:D

ALSO: READ THIS PART CAREFULLY; For those signing up for Pinnacle thinking we are running Pinnacle 2 we have have a hic-up (Most likely a confusion between me and getting the trail descriptions to U4:eek:) And unless I can get a crazy person to lead Pinnacle 2, CCKC (this means you Scott ;) ) will be leading the original Pinnacle trail (pinnacle 1) I can hear it now, BOOO! Sorry but this is because of the general problems with leading this particular trail during an event such as this.
Don't let me deter you from staying the night in Price and running it on Sunday, but unless something changes between now and tomorrow nights meeting, the King Crawlers will be leading Pinn1 not Pinn2.

I will lead Pinnacle II if that is what is wanted. You all just might get a good show as you watch the trail leader/me fumble my way through the Trash Compactor. My junk is big and does not always play well with the compactor.

...unless I can get a crazy person to lead Pinnacle 2, ...

Ok, Just had the Club meeting, and I was able to Fill a trail leader for Pinnacle 2.
So here is the deal; we will be leading BOTH pinnacle 1 and 2.
If you have signed up for Pinnacle, Please E-MAIL me at the address in my signature and let me know exactly which Pinnacle trail you want to run. And I will get with U4 and see if they can adjust this in the registration form to fix further confusion.

Sorry about the Hic-up, but we are going to try to make this the best Fall run yet! We have a lot of great stuff planned and I hope to see everyone out there!

I signed up for P2 so I would rather run that trail. If P1 is a 3+/4 then that is not for me. Let me know, are you sending out trail assignments prior to the 3rd?

I would rate pinn I at a 4+. We used to rated at a 5 but has been tamed a bit with use and weather.
Pinn I is about a 4 except for the Trash Compactor. Thats a 5 and there is no way around!

Shawn (and others wondering about Pin I and Pin II)

After seeing the pictures of your rig , I don't think you will be "overwhelmed" on either of the Pinnacle trails. I also don't think you will be disappointed on either trail.

Pinnacle I is a longer trail and therefore offers more obstacles. Most of these obstacles are large boulder piles with many of them offering multiple lines. Some of the lines have at least a 4+ to a solid 5 rating.

Pinnacle II also offers several good obstacles. Most of these are ledges and waterfalls and they too offer some different lines to take. With the exception of the Trash Compactor, I think Pinn II is an easier trail than Pinnacle I. The Trash Compactor can be a breeze or it can ruin your whole day . I've been there on both occasions!

My suggestion is to run whatever trail you can for U4 and then come back down another weekend and run the other one :greg:!

Every Thing . You will be in a gravel parking lot with no power, water, sewer or any thing else but a fairly flat piece of ground. Oh and good company .

I'll probably just sack out in the back of my pickup there.

Assignments will probably not have time to be mailed out prior, but If you put your e-mail info down when you registered I will give you a conformation e-mail once we have your registration. I haven't received registration from U4 yet, but as soon as that starts coming to me I will be sending out e-mails.

Trail leaders do have the final say if they feel your rigs are fully capable of the trail and may require you to take a different trail. But I don't see much of that happening.
