Under cover fuzz

I stopped to fill up the other day and saw a tan 4 runner with behind the glass police lights going. It would appear that he had pulled someone over. I looked closer and it was unmarked, laptop inside etc. UHP officer in full uniform was driving. I have never seen undercover cops in import cars before. Has anyone ever seen this before? I was with my little sister and she said she saw a toyota prius pulling someone over the other day? I can't vouch for it but I guess its possible. I always am on alert for cops cause I drive like a jerk ass and am usually speeding so this is all strange to me I pride myself on being able to spot undercover and regular cops in traffic but this is throwing me through a loop.

Oh yeah, I have seen tons of them in imports...Corollas even  They are completely unmarked, you'd never know if it wasn't for the laptop and uniformed officer inside. I've seen them in just about all makes of vehicles any more.

Yup we got them. We have a few others that we use. I like my Yukon. It even runs out of state plates.:D

Most of these vehicles are the stollen vehicle units. They mainly look for stollen or drug runners.

They are getting sneaky out there. Pay attention, boys, pay attention.

Thank you Dom, for adding another sneaky bastard to the database. :D :D

I don't know though-- you have to be speeding pretty good in UT to actually get nailed for it, at least in my experience. I deserved the tickets I've gotten in UT. :D

I havent seen any of those undercover cars but i did just see a cop on a pretty nice BMW police road bike. The bike was all decked out and about half the size of the usual harley type copper bike. it was pretty cool, looked like the bikes you see the police use in london. Kind of like this bike in the pic. sorry for the hijack.

I know West Valley, T-Ville, and South SL all have many various unmarked cars. They are HARD to pick out until it is too late. I have seen honda's , toyota's, 300's, chargers, XJ's, f150's, Superduty's, Ford escapes, etc....all with hidden lights and no other give-aways....

Personally, in today's day and age, I wouldn't pull over.

If one of those vehicles puleed up behind me with lights on, I would immediately call 911 to verify what's going on, and I would ONLY talk to an officer in a marked car and uniform.

Sorry to burst any PO bubbles, you can't tell me any different that I can't do that just so long as I'm NOT trying to flee, I have that right.

Any PO that says different, they're blowing smoke up our skirts!

(and yes, there are a lot of PO impersonators out there)

yeah. I agree in principle, but GOOD LUCK.

You're not a chick or a kid, so I'd say you're mostly out of the reported victim group for PO impersonators, and there are SOOOOOO many of those.

layton city has 2-3 of the bmw offroad bikes that they use around town... very sweet bikes...

I actually saw the 4runner on the freeway up near centerville... he was just cruizen down the road not even pulling over anyone that was flying by him at mach 3.... the unmarked cars usually only pull those people over like tacoma that are way over the limit or about to hurt someone with their actions...

LOL

it's true that I have been "way over the limit" a few times. I do not fault the officers in those cases hahahaha and they were very, very kind to me considering. :D
