If you want to camp right in that area, id think that up beaver creek or swan flats (next road to the west that goes north) would be better.

Um... when I said west, I really meant east. :greg:

You have labeled Franklin basin road. (plenty of good camping there also)

Dan your post 53 is exactly what I had in mind. I need to work on my computer skills :eek:

Steve this route would tack on a good amount of time but it is a really nice and scenic route.

Too bad we don't have a month or more LOL--the history, points of interest (The second coldest place in the lower 48 isn't too far off http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Sinks) and things to see on that stretch alone is pretty incredible.
