A couple of the rocks that fly up to the left disappear as they start their downward path. The dust also just disappears instead of fading out as it floats away. I vote fake as well.
Made feel sad the first time I watched too.

i saw that too. and the large rock on the right side of the arch just crumbles into nothing. the hoodoo explosions looks more realistic, but the camera work seems very fake.
