My other life is going to be "Hells Angels"

I'm thinking the same thing LOL Next summer I'm all about a bike I think.

I'll join the hippy beatdown, too, to work out some of this gas cost stress.
I'm about to drive across the country in a 9mpg box van... and spend the next 2mos buying gas in OH, PA, and WV... :mad2: :mad2:

Anybody know of a biodiesel vendor in Wasatch County?

Shane, you should be your own vendor.

See how here.

You can make your own stuff for about $.55 a gallon. I have a buddy that bought a kit from them and hasn't looked back in 4 months. It paid for itself in the first 6 weeks. He makes a ton of it and sells it to friends ( for no profit of course). It sure does have funny smelling exhaust though.

It can't be legal.. Is it? I mean you aren't paying taxes for it. Uncle Sam must not approve...

I sent the link to my dad, though. He's a farmer in the Sacramento area and the price of diesel is killing him.... This new issue will just make it worse!!!

Shoot, I'd go in on one and buy a old diesel VW for commuting!

I heard on Trucks one episode, so consider the source... No they do not and can not tax bio diesel made at home. I dont know why or details other that Stacey said so... Take it for what its worth.

My dad would be clear, since his diesel operated rigs are never on teh roads. Unless he's moving them from field to field or back to the shop for repair... So he already doesn't pay taxes for that reason. But it just seems like it would be illegal somewhere because the taxes are what pays for the roads - no taxes means higher taxes elsewhere. I guess I just can't believe the government hasn't stepped in yet....

why doesn't anyone use this stuff? how much is it per gallon?
there are a couple places in the valley that sell it.

If there were local pump stations that offered it, I would run nothing but ASTM D6751 biodiesel.

I love the fact taht my bike gets 80+ mpg. And it only cost $2000. Love it, just Love it. Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end very quickly and it's starting to get cold in the mornings.

News reported this morning somewhere in alabama - $5.87 per gallon regular .
It was $6.07 for premium - this is getting out of control.
