What are you listening to?

maybe it's because I have road trips on the brain, but that sounds like a killer song to blast while traveling across country in a convertible.

Recently discovered The Marty Ray Project due to facebook.

I've been loving this song from Nothing More, Jenny. It's about the lead singers sister who's struggling with addiction and mental illness, while their mother is dying from cancer, but doing the best to will herself to live in order to help her daughter thru her struggles. It's very personal and a bit of a tear jerker, with a great sound.

I wasn't there for that show, but saw him numerous times at the 'Dillo and I still have this one on vinyl.
Google a bit on the Armadillo World Headquarters and see the huge variety of bands that frequented this dive of a venue.
This is hot as crap Austin Texas: no A/C, folding chairs, bar in the back, carpet in some places that was better than Velcro.
It allowed me, with basically no money (po college student) to see some really impressive acts.
doesn't hurt that Austin was kind of the place to be discovered if you were an artist...

For any of you music fans I'd recommend checking out "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways" on HBO on demand. I'm not the biggest Foo Fighter fan, but they go to several cities interviewing people about their musical influence. Way cool show to fill some extra time.

I've been jamming out to all of Meg Myers stuff, she's great! I got sick the day of her concert a few months back and had to sell my tickets, what a sad day
