I think teachers are rad. I think it is sad that they are under paid. Just think you could have a life changing effect on some kids life. I had a few teachers like that at Judge. Good for you man.

You need a teaching certificate... my wife was going to be an English teacher... until she saw what they get paid.

So do you have to go to school to get said certificate? I though there was some allowance for college grads to teach their major in high school environments without the need to go through a teaching degree?

this is very true. just one more over worked and under paid profession that never recives the respect it deserves

That, I can't remember. While my wife was finishing up, she was sitting in on classes, but I can't recall what the requirements were for the certificate... been a while.

I was under the impression they need the degree and the certificate. I think they get the cert after an apprentice/co-teacher type period, but again, not positive.
