I'm a commercial equipment broker. Basically, I find financing and do the legwork for business owners who need to buy equipment for their businesses.

The best thing about it is that my funding sources don't have to be bailed out by the government. They refused to get involved in the shady lending practices that led to this current economic mess, so they are still in business and still have money to lend. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses are going under and an even greater number are not even being started, creating a drag on the whole American Economy of Innovation.

I work at the Utah Valley Water Treatment Plant. I make millions of gallons of drinking water everyday and waste time on RME between filter washes.

I was an automotive tech for 10 years, but then I decided my career was taking all the fun out of my hobby.
I'm glad I got out when I did. People don't always need their cars fixed, but they always need clean water to make beer.

Product Manager for a company that produces specialized pressure regulation devices. Our main niche is the natural gas industry, but we do provide products for everything from sewer treatment plants to NASA's new launch vehicle (replacement for the shuttle).

I design and build prototype vehicles for the mining industry... small scale (smaller than Toyota pickup size) heavy duty support vehicles mainly. Right now we are building a small aluminum 2 seat electric vehicle. We get to work with many neat companies and products. We recently got Richmond Gear to build us a custom locker for our differential so we can offer lockers to the customers. Very cool stuff.

Wow, now that is very cool. You live in Price? Is your customer base nationwide or just local?

Yep, good ol Price. We just do the R&D work then sell the technology to manufacturing companies. The primary company that supports us sells worldwide, both underground coal and hard rock mines.

Wow, I'm sorry. After administering several EVAs (3 8100s) and then an EMC and now a Hitachi, I can honestly say HP is light years behind the competition.

Only HP in name, company I worked for was recently acquired and operates as a separate division. I don't have anything to do with the MSA and EVA product lines, so say what you will.

Wow, geothermal plants eh? I think that's one of the best uses of natural energy I've ever seen. There are a few geothermal plants on SoCal, South of the Salton Sea. I could see them off in the distance when I was working down there, always wanted to see the insides of one. When are those projects you're working on supposed to be online?

Ya, it's pretty cool. The neat thing is that after the heat is extracted, the water is reinjected into the ground to be reheated.

Testing is done at one location and it is making power, though not yet at full capacity. The other plant is ready to begin construction.
